Find your "Best Fit" at one of Indiana's 31 Private Colleges and
Universities
Come see for
yourself! From Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27,
Indiana's nonprofit independent colleges and universities
are inviting students and parents to come experience our
campuses through tours and informational sessions. There
is no better way to find the "best fit" for college, career,
and life success than by actually "trying it on" by visiting
and learning about a college firsthand from faculty and
students.
Private College Week Tour Schedules
for a complete list of participating campuses, as well
as information about the tour and event schedules at each. Start
planning which campuses you want to visit, put your tour
schedule together, and find out how to let the campuses know
you are coming. Registration is encouraged but not
required for the campuses with scheduled tour times.
For those campuses offering individually scheduled tours,
advance notice is needed.
Just a few of the many reasons to "Go Independent!"
-
Higher Graduation Rates: Students at Indiana's non-profit private campuses are twice
as likely to graduate in four years as students at other
types of four-year institutions, saving our graduates
both time and money and giving them a head start on
their careers.
-
Availability of Financial Aid: More than 90% of students at our campuses receive one or
more types of financial aid (state, federal,
institutional aid, and/or special scholarships), making
a private college education affordable and often no more
expensive (and sometimes even less so) than a state
university.
-
Personal Attention: Class size at Indiana's private colleges and universities
averages 14 students to one professor, and our graduates
are more likely to report that they are "highly
satisfied" with the quality of their education.
-
Emphasis on Personal Values: Whether affiliated with a particular denomination or
non-denominational or with no religious orientation at
all, Indiana's private colleges all place a strong
emphasis on the development of personal ethics and
integrity and foster a life-long commitment to service
to others and community.
-
Opportunities for Leadership:
With
smaller and more personal learning environments, we
offer more opportunities for students to be involved in
extracurricular activities of all sorts and to further
develop their leadership skills in the process.
Win an iPad:
Visitors between the ages of 16 and 20 touring one or more
ICI campuses during Private College Week will have the
chance to enter a drawing for an Apple iPad. Entry forms
and rules will be available at each campus.
